More than 2 million elementary, middle and high school students collected spare change in classrooms across the country during the three-week program.
The money collected through student contributions supports research and services at the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
The classroom in each school that collected the most funds receives a pasta party served by a local Olive Garden restaurant. The Pasta for Pennies program has raised more than $36 million since its inception in 1994.
Olive Garden is operated by Orlando-based Darden Restaurants Inc.
